Amazon Mechanical Turk, the popular digital-marketing platform, has opened its doors to the general public, according to its founders.CEO Jeff Bezos and co-founder Alex Karp will be attending the annual Hack In The Box in San Francisco this weekend.
In a blog post, Bezos and Karp wrote that the company was “open to anyone, anywhere” and that “we’re glad to have an audience of people willing to explore and discover what we’re building.”
Amazon Mechanical Turk, which was originally founded by former employees of the social-media company Facebook, was acquired by Amazon in 2017.
The service offers jobs in a variety of fields, ranging from coding and marketing to sales, sales-related roles, sales positions, and even retail and marketing jobs.
According to Bezos and the founders, the platform has been used by thousands of people who are currently looking for a job or looking to make a change in their lives.
Amazon Mechanical Turks employees are expected to have a weekly pay of $1,000 or $2,000.
According to a blogpost, Mechanical Turk “is a marketplace that lets people take advantage of their talents in a fast and easy way.”
Amazon MechanicalTurk offers a variety and skills training to help those who are interested in applying for jobs.
The company also offers a virtual-reality training, an interactive training, and an online learning platform for those looking to improve their online skills.
According Amazon Mechanical, Mechanical Turkers are currently seeking candidates to join the company, but those who wish to apply can visit the MechanicalTurks.com site and apply.
MechanicalTurkers is open for anyone to apply, but applicants need to be 18 or older.
