A suicide bomber has used a papermate mechanical pen to kill at least six people and wound five others in a bombing that took place in Istanbul, Turkey, officials said on Wednesday.
The bombing occurred on Wednesday in the district of Kizilay, near the border with Syria.
It was the deadliest attack on Turkish civilians in recent years, with the dead toll approaching 1,000.
It was also the deadliest suicide bombing in Turkey since March 2011, when a truck bomb killed more than 100 people in the Istanbul suburb of Reyhanlı.
